Casa Mitra is a villa with swimming pool surrounded by the greenery of Cefalù. A luxury holiday house perfect for families, large groups or business meetings. A place where you can share relax and fun, but you can also enjoy the necessary privacy.
Designed for the psychiatrist Pietro Mitra in the years 1968-70, it has a special historical and architectural value: it is the first work of the then debut architects Culotta & Leone of Cefalù and recalls the houses of Frank Lloyd Wright made in the early 1900s in the States United States of America.
Accomodations
The villa is made of 3 levels which can be accessed each of them directly from the outside or through the internal staircase that connects them.
Immersed in a pine and cork forest of approximately 1.5 hectares, it is a fascinating building in exposed brick and a pavilion roof. Thanks to its extraordinary position, you can enjoy the view of the Mediterranean sea towards the Aeolian islands, from both the living area with large windows and the garden of the house.
The large living area is equipped with a dining table for 10 people, comfortable designer sofas and armchairs, TV and a large perimeter balcony.
On the same floor there are two bedrooms, a bathroom with a large shower, a kitchen equipped with all comforts.
On the middle floor, bright and airy, there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The rooms and bathrooms have been designed and furnished with great attention to detail, quality materials and pieces signed by the best furniture designers.
In the lower floor there is a kitchen with a pantry and a laundry room that allows you to better organize life outside the villa.
In the outdoor areas there is a wood-burning oven, a barbecue, a pergola that gives a table-like shade for 16 people.
The area of the pergola, with the barbecue area enhances the moments of conviviality and allows you to enjoy lunches and dinners outdoors, accompanied by the singing of birds.
In summer at Villa Mitra you can enjoy not only a privileged temperature, with mild cool and shady areas, but also pleasant warm temperatures in the pool area and the sun terrace.
You can really appreciate the quiet of the Madonie and you can share special moments thanks to the relax corner with a sauna cabin and sunbeds.
To offer a greater comfort, on the same floor there is a bedroom with adjacent bathroom.

Territory

Cefalù Cathedral was founded by King Roger II in 1131 and is the result of troubled architectural history: it enchants for its grandeur and its staircase.

From CEFALÙ exit, highway A20, proceed towards directed to CEFALÙ for 2.7 km up to the BAR SAINT LUCIA
– Immediately after BAR SANTA LUCIA turn right, at the first hairpin bend again to the right and follow the uphill road for about 3.7 km
– At intersections or roundabouts always follow the indication STADIO (STADIUM)
– Pass in front of Cefalù HOSPITAL
– Take a small TUNNEL
– proceed to the intersection with the indication FERLA
– Take right, the Provincial Road 136 for FERLA
– Follow it uphill for about 4 km.
